Subscription Conditions

For FineReader PDF, one-year or three-year subscriptions are offered under the conditions provided below.

Products: A FineReader PDF Subscription is currently available for the following ABBYY Software products:

• FineReader PDF for Windows:
  - Standard
  - Corporate
• FineReader PDF for Mac

Applicable licensing: A FineReader PDF Subscription is available for both individual users and organizations.

Subscription renewal period: The FineReader PDF Subscription can be paid either on a yearly or three-year basis (one-year Subscription Term or three-year Subscription Term). For standalone licenses, available for purchase by individual users in the ABBYY Partner Channel, the subscription term starts at the moment of FineReader PDF installation and activation.

Usage: Paid one-year, or three-year Subscription Fee gives users the right to use the Software product
for one Subscription Term of the corresponding length.

SMUA: FineReader PDF Subscription Fees include SMUA (Software Maintenance and Upgrade Assurance). SMUA terms can be found here: www.abbyy.com/sm-terms. For FineReader PDF products, as long as the Subscription Fees are paid on time, the users have access to the following:

• Customer Support services (only Business level is available for FineReader PDF)
• Software product updates, provided that such updates are officially released by ABBYY
• Software product upgrades, provided that such upgrades are officially released by ABBYY

Protection: The Software licenses can be additionally protected by an expiration date.

• Exact license expiration date for initial Subscription Term is defined as "the day of shipment by ABBYY (the date of the invoice from ABBYY) plus one or three calendar years plus a grace period. Grace period may depend on your license type, but not less than 7 days. Grace period is not included into the Subscription Term.
• Upon receiving each subsequent Subscription Fee (Subscription renewal), ABBYY increases the license expiration date by one or three calendar years. For example, if the current expiration date is August 22, 2022, and the payment for the next one-year Subscription Term is made on September 20, 2022, the expiration date will be updated to August 22, 2023.
• If the expiration date is reached but the Subscription Fee for the next period has not been paid, all essential functions of the Software are blocked until the payment is processed.
